Satyendar Jain's health deteriorates after testing positive for Covid-19, shifted to another hospital

The state of health of Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain, who was tested positive for the coronavirus, worsened on Friday and is being moved to another hospital in Delhi, said official.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has wished the Delhi Health Minister a speedy recovery.


“Praying for the speedy recovery of Shri Satyendra Jain, Health Minister of Delhi who is battling with COVID-19 infection,” Shah tweeted.

On Wednesday, Satyendar Jain had issued a tweet saying that he has been tested positive for the coronavirus. He was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital on Tuesday after he started showing symptoms of Covid-19.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi and two other lawmakers of the party have also tested positive for the coronavirus.

Akshay Marathe, an advisor to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Abhinandita Mathur, an advisor to Manish Sisodia, also tested positive for the viral disease on Wednesday.

Previous week, the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tested negative for coronavirus. His swab samples were collected after he started showing symptoms like mild fever and a sore throat.
