As Priyanka Gandhi campaigns in the ‘Ram Nagari’ Ayodhya, the writing for the Congress party is on the wall and she has started attacking the ruling BJP and the shortcomings of the government in several sectors.

On her campaign trail in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi has stated that PM Modi doesn’t have time to meet their own people and he travels the whole world. Mentioning about the rising unemployment, Priyanka raised the issue of jobless growth and said that ‘unemployed youths are roaming across the country but there are no jobs to offer.’

While interacting with the audience in Ayodhya, Gandhi said, “I asked people if PM visits villages in Varanasi, I got reply 'he does not visit'. I was surprised because his publicity is such that I thought he must have been doing something. He visited whole world & hugged everyone, but didn't hug his own people.”

The Congress leader, who is on a three-day campaign tour in UP, will hold a 50 kms roadshow in Faizabad-Ayodhya, which is seen as the political laboratory of the right-wing groups including the RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and the ruling BJP. The Congress has been accused of playing the soft Hindutva card, on the terms of polarising the Hindu-Muslim voters.

In the first tour to UP, Priyanka Gandhi had embarked on the Ganga Yatra via boat from Prayagraj to Varanasi, after she was coroneted as the General Secretary in-charge of the UP East. In the run up to the Lok Sabha polls, its the road to Lucknow that might determine the new government in Delhi.
