Aaj etihaasik din hai,” PM Modi said.

Attacking the opposition’s ‘Mahagathbandhan’ PM Modi said, “Warn those state govts who are looking to play politics with PM Kisan Yojna, if you indulge in this then curse of farmers will destroy your politics.I appeal to farmers, don't be misled by anyone. 'Mahamilavti' logon ke moonh utre huye the Parliament mein jab scheme batayi gyi.”

After PM Modi laucnhed the PM-Kisan scheme, CM Yogi while addressing people in his home constituency said, “We would like to wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi as after gaining respect of the world as 'champion of earth', he was honoured with Seoul peace prize last week.”

Reportedly, another 1 crore farmers are expected to be covered in the next two to three days. The BJP government had announced the PM-KISAN scheme in the interim Budget 2019-20. Under this scheme, 12 crore small and marginal farmers, holding land of up to two hectares will be paid Rs 6000 per year in 3 instalments.

PM Modi will also distribute certificates among selected farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme and interact with those selected beneficiaries through video conferencing at the Gorakhpur event.
