"As many as 34 members spoke during the debate. Some were for it, some were against. But the House saw a constructive debate," said the prime minister. He recalled former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's era where three states were created. "The then government ensured the bifurcation was smooth," PM Modi said.
