Nitish Kumar swearing-in ceremony which was delayed to festivals like Diwali and Chhatt Puja, will be a much watched out for event. For it might be the podium where chief ministers Bihar's neigbouring states could put up a united front by marking their presence.

Kumar won a huge mandate with his coalition partners, RJD and Congress, called Mamata Banerjee to invite her for his swearing-in ceremony likely to be held on 20 November. He also thanked her for supporting the Grand Alliance.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is also likely to be present at the event.

As for portfolio distribution the JD(U)-RJD-Congress is likely to follow a 4:4:2 arrangement, according to the Indian Express. Reports also suggest that Lalu Prasad would bargain hard for Home Ministry and cabinet berths of his daughter Misa and sons Tej Pratap and Tejaswi.
