Madhya Pradesh: Man brutally assaulted by three men for Rs 50,000; tied victim to pillar

A shocking CCTV footage surfaced the Internet in which a man can be seen beaten by a group of three men.

The incident took place in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh and the video was recorded on February 18 which showed that the two-three men mercilessly thrashing a local man with a wooden log.


MP Police has taken cognizance of a viral video circulated on a social media platform. However, no arrests have been made into the matter.

As per shown in the video, the victim was tied around a pillar. In the video, a man was repeatedly thrashing the victim by using a wooden log even as two remain silent spectators.

While in the second part of the video, the complainant sitting on the floor and his hands were tied behind his back. The trio continues to thrash him and one of them even tries to force him to speak to someone by holding out a cell phone.

After releasing from them, the victim rushed to the nearest police station and registered a complaint in this regard.

An FIR has been filed against two-three men under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the media reports, one of the suspects is out on bail and was accused under Section 302 of the IPC that corresponds to charges of attempt to murder.

Police told media that they were familiar with the case and said that he was thrashed over an alleged dispute of over a sum of Rs 50,000. Meanwhile, the accused are still at large.
