India's first woman biker, Veenu Paliwal, dies in a road accident

In a tragic incident, Veenu Paliwal, India's top woman biker died in a road accident in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh, on 11 April.

Paliwal was on a nationwide tour on her Harley Davidson, along with fellow biker Dipesh Tanwar.

The 44-year-old Jaipur resident was killed as her bike skid off a road near Gyaraspur, 100 kilometres from the state capital, Bhopal.

Paliwal was rushed to a primary health centre and then to the Vidisha district hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead, the police said.

Paliwal was also planning to make a documentary on her motorbike journey across the country.

A post-mortem will be conducted today.
