Here's how Delhi Police's carelessness took the life of a 21-year-old biker

A shocking accident took place in Delhi's Netaji Subhash Place on early Thursday morning. A 21-year-old biker died after his throat got slit from a piece of iron wire that was allegedly used to tie two Police barricade.

A case has been registered with the Delhi Police under section 304A of Indian Penal Code (causing death by negligence). Further investigation is going on.

Till now 7 people including beat constables and division officers have been suspended. The SHO of Netaji Subhash Place was sent to the district line.

The victim identified as Abhishek, who worked as a driver with an online cab aggregator company. He was also worked as a part-time DJ. He was returning to his home on a bike without a helmet at the time of the accident.

"He succumbed to his injuries a little while after being hit. There was no police officer here and it was the locals who tried to help him. There should have been a PCR van over here. Minutes before this incident, another man had bruised his neck due to the wire," said victims relative.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police Aslam Khan told that 'his neck got entangled in the wire that was tied between two of the barricades. He died on the spot.
