Gujarat riots convict Maya Kodnani takes selfie at Yoga retreat; Twitter gets angry

Convicted for the Gujarat riots in 2002, former minister and BJP MP Maya Kodnani, was granted bail on grounds of health concerns in 2014. However, Kodnani appears to have resurfaced on social media after Shreya Ramchand Lalwani posted a photo of theirs on Facebook.

Lalwani and Kodnani were attending a Sindhi Samaj yoga camp on Saturday, 21 Novemeber where this photo was taken.

In 2009 Kodnani was sentenced to 28 years of imprisonment for her participation in the Naroda Patiya massacre during the 2002 Gujarat riots. She happens to be the only woman to be convicted for the same.

"Meditating together with former education minister of Gujarat - Mayaben Kodnani," Lalwani wrote, while posting the photo. However, she seemed to have forgotten the crime associated with the former minister. But Twitter hasn't.
