A 30-year-old man accused of shooting a youth during a street fight in Karol Bagh area of central Delhi last week has been nabbed, police said today.
The incident had occurred on the night of January 5 when Jitender (30) along with his associate Gaurav had allegedly thrashed Keshav and shot at him after he tried to save a boy they were assaulting.
Police reached the spot on Vishnu Mandir Marg after receiving information about the shooting and shifted Keshav to Lady Hardinge Hospital.
Keshav told the police that he had tried to save a boy, Jadu, who was being thrashed by the accused. A case of attempt to murder was registered and investigation was taken up, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.
The south eastern range of Crime Branch got a tip-off about Jitender on January 7. He was caught by a team at Sarai Rohilla railway bridge. His associate Gaurav was also arrested by the local police, he said.
