Assembly Elections: BJP releases candidates list for Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram polls; check the full list here

As assembly elections have been approaching, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) after long deliberations at a central election committee (CEC) meeting on Saturday have released its first list of candidates for the Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram assembly elections. The party announced names of its 77 candidates for Chhattisgarh, 38 for Telangana and 13 for Mizoram.

In 90 Assembly seats in Chhattisgarh, 77 candidates names have been announced, out of which 14 are women candidates and and 14 sitting MLAs have been replaced with new names, confirms Union Minister J.P. Nadda told media.


Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, who is seeking his fourth consecutive term, will contest from the Rajnandgaon seat.

The BJP also released the list of 38 candidates for the upcoming Telangana.

“The party has considered the aspirations of our dedicated workers in Telangana region. Adequate representation has been given to representatives of all communities,” Nadda said.

The results of assembly polls will be declared on December 11.
