The Narendra Modi government has finally decided to withdraw Robert Vadra's name from the no-frisking list at the airports

Vadra is the son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the presence of his name in the VIP or no-frisking list in airports had earlier served as a controversial subject.

This decision comes after Vadra, on 14 September, posted on Facebook "Plans to visit every terminal in the airports in India and add a white tape on my name from the VIP list and my signature on top !! So look out."

After this post made news, the Minister of State Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma stated that Vadra should submit this request in writing and then his name will be removed from the list within three days.

Currently, Vadra is exempted from going through security checks before boarding a flight only when he travels with his wife Priyanka Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi.
