Launching the Lok Sabha poll campaign for 2019, PM Narendra Modi has tweeted a video with the hashtag #MainBhiChowkidar on Saturday and reminded people that they too are Chowkidar.
In the tweet, PM Modi has tagged a video which shows the various public rallies of him across the country, getting inside the battle tank among others. The song displays people chanting the new slogan “Main Bhi Chowkidar hoon” (I too am Chowkidaar).
PM Modi tweeted, “Your Chowkidar is standing firm & serving the nation. But, I am not alone. Everyone who is fighting corruption, dirt, social evils is a Chowkidar. Everyone working hard for the progress of India is a Chowkidar. Today, every Indian is saying.”

The video also showcases the youths, senior citizens etc. stating that they follow PM Narendra Modi in his fight against corruption and everyone is a chowkidar in some or the other way.
The video starts with PM Modi wishing everyone “Aap ashwast rahiyein, aap ka yeh chowkidar poori tarah se chaukanna hai (Rest assured, you chowkidar is ever alert).”
Although, Congress has been swift in replying to the video and the social media head Divya Spandana tweeted saying, “Yes evidently,” and posted two pictures wherein one outlines the projects undertaken by Anil Ambani and the other names various economic offenders namely Lalit Modi, Vijay Mallya, Jatin Mehta, Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi.
