Viral: What did we just watch? Did the earth just 'breathe in and out'?

Brian Nuttall was taking a walk in Cumberland County in Nova Scotia when the earth did a Lord of the Rings. Remember the Ents? If you don't thy were the tree lords who ruled the forest, could walk, talk and waged a war against Saruman, the second most powerful wizard in the world, and won the bloody thing without much trouble.

The earth in this part of Canada, did a fairly Entish thing while this resident was out for a stroll. It was breathing. And by breathing we mean inhaling and exhaling. And by it we mean the floor of the forest.

Being human, Brian did the only sane thing to do. He filmed it on his phone and shared it on Facebook. The video, which was viewed over 3 million times, has sparked a debate among netizens as to the cause.

Was it a sink hole? Was it tree roots caught in the wind? CBC news quotes Brian's Facebook post: "As I entered a patch of trees spared from clear cutting, I noticed the ground moving. I believe the larger trees are doomed to blow down but are currently spared, the smaller trees around them help hold each other up, as the wind pushes the trees into one another."
