This ad featuring Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza, her husband Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and a steaming mug of Nestle coffee is making waves in Pakistan. The plot-line is simple: to cash in on the ubiquitous India-Pakistan tension, celebrity status, a love marriage with parties from both sides of the border.
The dialogues are mainly the tu-tu-main-main husbands and wives indulge in, with a male domestic help thrown in for good measure. They disagree on where the new painting should go on the wall, on food in their respective countries, on cricket idols, to music, to clothes, et al. The only time they agree to agree on something is when they sip a steaming mug of Nestle coffee. A Swiss-owned Fortune 500 brand. It's a #KhaasChoice says Nestle's YouTube channel.
