Today in what-did-I-just-watch: Chennai park invaded by adults looking for rare Pokemon

There is a new disease on the block. Called Pokemon Go, this highly contagious ailment has claimed more victims than Twitter or porn, which is a singularly unique achievement to have. There have been stories of dead bodies being found, people walking into moving cars and getting hurt, walking off cliffs and generally acting in a way that would make aliens give up on humans permanently.

And then there is the story of the man who prioritised Pokemon over his wife who was in labour. Well done, humans.

This is a game that's united generations, yes. But only over Pikachus and Digletts.

In this video shared by Vignesh Pillai, a resident of Chennai, you'll glimpse first hand that there is no such thing as being sane while playing online games. Is everyone a Pokemon addict here? Probably not. Peer pressure at work more likely, but addict or not, Pokemon Go is definitely not going away soon.

The video, which has reportedly been shot in a park in Anna Nagar, captures the pandemonium that followed a rumour that there was a rare Pokemon - a Blastoise in the area.

Is this the beginning of the end? Maybe. Pokemon, just go, no?
