Here's how Sushma Swaraj helped an Indian man and a Pakistani woman to get married

Indian Union minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, has always been one of those people who have helped citizens in their problem and yet again the lady has proved herself that she is the greatest of them all by helping a couple to get married.

The couple, however, was not the usual one. As per the reports by the Times Of India, the External Affairs minister helped an Indian man to get married to her Pakistani fiancee inspite of all the tentions that have been going between both the counrties.

The reports by the media portal state that the boy named Naqi Ali Khan, 27 years-old belongs to Lucknow and was to marry Sabahat Fatima who belongs to the neighbouring country Pakistan. They both have been engaged to each other from the past two years and were facing a lot of difficulties in their marriage because of the matter in their visa as the girl hails from Pakistan.

The couple tried to reach Swaraj through the social media platform Twitter and asked her to help them. Sabahat in her tweets wrote, “Dear Mam @SushmaSwaraj I really need your help, I beg please help me by providing Indian visa for my wedding function. Give the response.”

After continous series of tweets, their wish got heard and Sushma helped Sabahat in getting a visa for herself and after that it became possible for the couple to get married. Their marriage finally took place in Lucknow on Friday.

After their successful marriage, the bride took to her Twitter account to thank Sushma for her support and wrote, “Mam thanks a lot from the bottom of my heart, I really always be thankful , you gave me the best gift of my life.”

Well, this is not the first time when she has done anything like this. A lot of times, people have reached out to her through the platform of social media to ask for her assistance and she has come out in full support.
