5 legendary Lip Sync Battles that'll make this dull day worth the effort

Lip Sync Battles are a gift from the creative gods of television. On a dull working day, these battles hold the power of instant happiness. Of course, people on our side of the world are no stranger to lip syncing, because Bollywood. But the wild, wild west doesn't simply dance while mouthing. They make it a musical parody - one that is LOL-worthy.

Comedy Central's hit show Lip Sync Battle - hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigan - has several such gems that serve as an instant pick-me-up.

Ready? Here we go:

Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum performed a Lip Sync Battle against his wife, Jenna, so we're obviously going to begin with that.

Tatum and Beyonce show us Who Run The World.Hint: It's girls. And also, Beyonce.

Anne Hathaway

Unfortunately, only a snippet of Anne Hathaway's legendary Lip Sync Battle with Emily Blunt, and her performance on Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball is available online. We're probably not worthy of that level of awesomeness.

Queen Latifah

This lady's queening as usual. Safe to say almost everyone expected her to knock it out of the park. Like always.

Taraji P Henson

Madonna's Material Girl would have been a risky choice for someone else. What with the crazy fans. But Taraji more than makes it work.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum

When it comes to the original Step Up girl, Jenna, lip syncing is almost art. For the record, anyone who thinks lip syncing live onstage without faltering is easy is a bit daft. Watch out for Paula Abdul towards the end.

OBVIOUSLY we would have liked to add all of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's lip sync videos ever made but most of all, Rhythm Nation. Sorry, Janet Jackson but JGL did it better. Sadly, the video isn't available online because we're not allowed to have nice things.
