Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will soon start its pending recruitment process for the posts of Group D, NTPC and others. Ahead of conducting the exams, the Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal made an important announcement in Lok Sabha about the recruitment examinations.
Piyush Goyal informed the lower house that the recruitment examinations will be conducted after assessing the conditions prevailing due to the novel coronavirus across the country.
“Based on the current assessment of Pandemic situation, Indian Railways has planned to start Computer Based Test for notified vacancies from December 15, 2020,” the minister said in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
Recruitment for Group D, Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) and Technician:
The recruitment process for the posts of Group D, Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP), and technician vacancies has already been concluded, however, selected candidates for the post of ALP are yet to get their appointment letters.
Informing Lok Sabha about the conclusion of recruitment for ALP and Technician post, the Railway Minister said that the process of the appointment has been resumed post unlock in a phased manner.
According to a report in Indian Express, “The appointment schedule for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician against Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) No. 01/2018 issued by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) got affected due to COVID- 19 Pandemic and consequent lockdown. The same has been resumed post unlock in a phased manner,” Piyush Goyal informed the house.
However, after completing the recruitment process to the posts of ALP and Technician, RRB has initiated the process to conduct the recruitment exams for the post of RRB NTPC.
As per Railway Ministry, the NTPC exam will be held from December 15. However, the scrutiny process of NTPC applications has already been completed.
