UP horror: Man commits suicide after killing wife, 3 children

In a shocking incident of murder-suicide case reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh where a 38-year-old man allegedly murdered his all family members i.e. wife and three minor children and then killed himself.

The police have also recovered the suicide note from the residence which cited the financial debt pressure on the man.


The incident took place in the Safedabad area within the territorial jurisdiction of Kotwali police station.

Reportedly, the 38-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and their three children, including a son and two daughters at least two-three days ago after seeing the condition of their bodies.

The deceased has been identified as Vivek Shukla, his wife Anamika (35), their son Babal (5), and daughters Ritu (7) and Poem (10).

Police have also recovered an iron tool and a knife stained with blood from the crime spot.

According to the reports in The Indian Express, the incident came to light when Vivek’s mother, who lives next door, spotted him hanging from the ceiling fan when she was on the terrace. She immediately informed her husband, who informed the police.

After entering the house, police find four more bodies i.e. Vivek’s wife and his three children.

According to the Ayodhya IG Sanjeev Gupta, the suicide note left by the now-deceased man revealed that he was under mental stress due to various reasons but was primarily disturbed due to the financial debts.

Meanwhile, all the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
