Mumbai Crime: Man murders brother-in-law by slitting his throat

In a cold-blooded case of Murder reported from Borivli, a 35-year-old man was taken into police custody for allegedly murdering his brother-in-law by slitting his throat on Sunday.

The accused, identified as Bharat Makwana was enraged as his brother-in-law, identified as Sandeep Rajput, aged 25, was stopping his wife from going to his house for the last one and half years.


The accused used to live with his wife in Nalasopara. But because of some unknown reasons, the duo got into a fight, after which his wife went to her brother’s house in Borivli.

The accused tried everything he could to bring his wife back home, but Sandeep Rajput was not willing to send his sister. On friday, an infuriated Makwana took the victim (Sandeep Rajput) to Eksar Garden to have a conversation and talk things out. The accused made the victim sit in an auto, gave him marijuana to smoke, and ran away after slitting his throat with a sharp edged weapon, said police.

According to an officer from MHB police station,"We have taken the accused into our custody and charged him under Section 302 of IPC. He will soon be produced before the court today,

In another incident, a headless dead body of a woman stuffed inside a suitcase was found by the police near Vasai’s Bhui Gaon beach on Monday.

The headless body has not been identified so far, police said.

The investigating police team has started a search for missing complaints filed at police stations in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Navi Mumbai to find out the identity of the headless body.

An FIR has been lodged at Vasai police station against an unknown persons under sections 302 and 201 of Indian Penal Code," said police.
