In a gut-wrenching incident, two highly decomposed bodies of a man and a woman were found in a flat in Delhi on Thursday, said the police on Friday.

The two deceased were identified as Divya (35), a resident of Patna, Bihar, and Naveen (40), a native of Bihar's Darbhanga.

The shocking incident took place in sector 34, Delhi on Thursday and it came to light after the Shahbad Dairy Police Station received a PCR call saying, "there is a flat in which a dead body of a lady is lying and a very foul smell is coming out of the apartment," said police.

According to the police, Naveen's prima facie committed suicide while Divya's death reason will be ascertained after her autopsy report.

As per news agency ANI, Naveen's hand was tied with an electric wire that was taken from a ceiling fan. According to police, the electric current in the wire was live when they reached the spot. Police called the electrician to disconnect the electricity.
