The Jungle Book had a phenomenal opening week at the Box-Office as the film has raked in over Rs 74 crore. The film, which released in India a week before the worldwide release, is carrying terrific reports and is sure to breach past the Rs 100 crore mark at the Box-Office despite facing competition from the mighty Fan.

Apart from excellent collections from metros, the film held steady at the mass centres as well. The Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubbed versions of the film contributed around 52 per cent to the total collections as against 48 per cent by the English version. Its collections on Thursday (Day 6) were more than the first day collections which hint at the kind of acceptance the film received from the audience.

Day Wise Box-Office Collection:

  • Friday: Rs 10.09 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 13.51 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 16.87 crore
  • Monday: Rs 7.60 crore
  • Tuesday: Rs 7.07 crore
  • Wednesday: Rs 7.97 crore
  • Thursday: Rs 10.97 crore
  • Total: Rs 74.08 crore
  • The film is already a blockbuster here and is heading to be the highest-grossing Hollywood film of all time in India by going past Fast and Furious 7 collections (Rs 105 crore approx.)
