However, Railway NTPC CBT 1 exam has been delayed from July (the previous exam date). As per the reports, the RRB NTPC exam is expected to be held in November/December 2019.

Aspirants who have applied for the exam have already started their preparation for the RRB NTPC CBT examination.

If you are also preparing for the exam then we have brought some tips that will guide you in your preparation.

Before beginning the preparation, candidates should know the examination pattern.

RRB will allot one and a half hours to solve the question paper. The exam will comprise three sections i.e. General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning.

  • General Awareness - 40 marks
  • Mathematics - 30 marks
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning - 30 marks

Candidates should start their preparation section-wise and also try to solve previous years question papers that will not only help in understanding the paper pattern but also the questions that can be asked in the examination.

Aspirants should keep in mind that the examination will be held in CBT mode, therefore, strategize yourself before attempting the examination.

Railway Recruitment Board will select the aspirants on the basis of their merit in the first stage exam. Also, there will be a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.

Check minimum percentage marks for eligibility category-wise:

  • For UR-40%,
  • EWS40%
  • OBC (Non-creamy layer) -30%
  • SC-30% ST-25%
  • For PwBD category aspirants, Railway will give relaxation up to 2 percent.

To obtain good marks in the exam, candidates should attempt the section which they can complete fast and also their preparation is strong. The weaker section should be attempted last because each minute is very important for each section in the exam.
