Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2019: Application process begins for this new post; check vacancy details

The Indian Coast Guard started its new recruitment drive for aspirants and the last date to apply for the vacancies is August 17. Interested candidates should check their eligibility to apply for the vacancies.

As per the notification, the vacancies are released for the diploma holders who can join as Yantrik 01/2020 batch that will commence from February 2020.

Aspirants can apply for the vacancies on or before August 17 at joinindiacoastguard.gov.in.

Educational Qualification Required:

Applicants must have qualified 10th pass or equivalent and hold Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with 60 percent in aggregate.

As per the age relaxation norms, 5 percent relaxation will be awarded to SC/ST category candidates and also for the sports person of National level who has obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports event at the Open National Championship/Interstate National Championship. Also, the relaxation will also be applicable to the wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.

Age Limit:

The minimum age limit required for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit is 22 years. Age relaxation for upper age will be given to SC/ST of 5 years and 3 years relaxation to OBC category aspirants.

Selection procedure:

Candidates will be selected for the posts based on their performance in written examination followed by the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and initial medical examination.

E-Admit Card Details:

As per the reports, the e-hall tickets for the exam will be released between September 1 to September 8.
