According to some reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) might declare CBSE Class 10 results on 30 May 2016 and not on 27 or 28 May as previously indicated.
CBSE had announced the Class 12 results on Saturday, 21 May.
More than 13.7 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 examination.
This year's mathematics paper had made news for several reasons. Some students claimed that some of the questions in the paper were out of syllabus.
