After ‘Rahul Modi’ cracked UPSC Civil Services 2019; netizens share hilarious reactions

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the civil services exam 2019 result on Tuesday. This year, Haryana boy, Pradeep Singh has topped the examination.

However, Twitterati has spotted a unique name from the list of selected candidates and then they forgot to talk about the first rank holder of UPSC.


Well, it’s the name of the country’s two most famous political rivals—Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. The name of the selected candidate is Rahul Modi, who has secured 420th rank in the UPSC CSE exam.

Surprisingly, his name was trending on Twitter for his unique name. Netizens called it ‘the merger of a century’.

The social media has been flooded with rib-tickling memes, jokes.

UPSC released a list of 829 selected candidates on its official website. The 29-year-old Pradeep Singh topped among those candidates who have qualified for the IAS, IPS, IFS and other positions.

After the result announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the selected candidates and tweeted: "Congratulations to all the bright youngsters who have successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2019! An exciting and satisfying career of public service awaits you. My best wishes!"
