After scuffle over use of open gym, teen stabs man to death

In a shocking incident of murder reported from the national capital, Delhi Police took an 18-year-old man into their custody for murdering a man following a fight over the use of an open gym in Sultanpur area. According to the police, another accused in the case is still on the run.

On 11th August, Sultan Puri police station got an information that a person, identified as Sanjay was brought dead at the SGM Hospital in Mangolpuri. A police team had right away gone to the hospital and discovered that the victim died because of a stab injury on his right thigh.


A probe was carried out at the alleged crime spot and a long blood streak spread over around 150 meters was found till the Namokar Nursing Home in Sultanpuri. A case was lodged on the basis of the statement of one eyewitness, identified as Gaurav.

In the time of investigation it came up that on Tuesday at around 10.30 PM, Few boys had got into a verbal spat over the use of an open gym at a local park in Sultanpuri. The state of affair soon became violent and one of the accused, identified as Akash, stabbed Sanjay, the person who died at the SGM Hospital.

Reportedly, a person, identified as Gullu had assisted Akash in stabbing Sanjay, who had managed to escape from the crime spot but fell down after some distance. Three locals from the area rushed towards him and took him to Namokar Nursing Home which is located near the place of crime. The doctors there referred him to the SGM Hospital after giving some treatment.

The cops took the 18-year-old Gullu into their custody and are continuing their search to trace and nab Akash.
