Gautam Gambhir feels Yuvraj Singh was insulted when he was bought for Rs 1 crore in the Indian Premier League. Gambhir said that Yuvraj deserved more money than what he got from Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction.

Gautam while speaking to Navbharat Times said that, “Yuvraj did not get enough respect and neither did he get enough money, he was paid less in this IPL as well.” Yuvraj Singh was bought by Mumbai Indians after he went unsold in the initial stage of the IPL auction.

Yuvraj Singh continues to warm the bench for Mumbai Indians after playing a couple of matches and it looks like he will never play for India again as he was not named in the 15-member World Cup squad. Yuvraj Singh last played a World Cup was in 2011 and he was awarded the man of the tournament for his outstanding performance. Yuvraj was suffering from cancer during the World Cup.

As far as Gautam Gambhir is concerned he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in December 2018 and joined Bhartiya Janata Party in March 2019 ahead of Lok Sabha elections. I is speculated that Gambhir will fight election from Delhi north constituency.

Gautam Gambhir played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and won two titles for them before joining Delhi Capitals formerly known as Delhi Daredevils as captain. Gambhir handed over his captaincy to Shreyas Iyer as he felt that he was not fit for IPL any more.
