Virat Kohli spotted reading 'Detox your Ego' during first Test against West Indies

Indian skipper Virat Kohli was spotted reading a Steven Sylvester’s book titled ‘Detox your Ego’ during the first Test match against West Indies in Antigua. Virat Kohli was reading the book when Ravindra Jadeja was leading team India on the field with his bat on Day 2 of the Test.

Kohli is often accused of having a big ego and arrogance by many of his cricketing colleague. Kohli was also trolled online after the picture of him went viral on social media. Kohli is also being compared with former Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj, who was also spotted reading a book on the field during a World Cup match.


Kohli is currently leading team India in West Indies for a bilateral series. India outclassed West Indies in the T20I and ODI series which they won by 3-0 and 2-0 respectively. India is currently playing the first Test match in which they have taken a lead of 75 runs after the first innings.

India scored 297 runs in their first innings while West Indies was bundled out for 222 runs. Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane who made his comeback after a long time scored 81 runs for the team. For West Indies, it was Roston Chase who scored the most runs for the team with his 48. Indian pacer Ishant Sharma took a five-wicket haul.
