Delhi Capitals’ advisor Sourav Ganguly is not shy to show his emotions, both on and off the field. Sourav Ganguly lifted Rishabh Pant after he helped Delhi beat Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Rishabh Pant was elated by Sourav Ganguly’s gesture and felt special by his reaction.
Rishabh Pant’s amazing 78 run knock helped Delhi finish the game in their favour after Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw set the stage. It was always expected from Rishabh Pant to finish games for Delhi but he was not able to do that earlier this season. Last night he did what was expected of him that is why Sourav Ganguly and team management were so happy.

Rishabh Pant did not get selected for India’s World Cup squad as BCCI and selectors chose Dinesh Karthik’s experience over Pant’s hitting prowess. Delhi Capitals’ coach Ricky Ponting backed Pant and said that BCCI’s decision of not taking Pant into the team is absolutely absurd.
Rishabh Pant also expressed his disappointment and in a post-match presentation ceremony he said, “I am feeling lovely. To make your team win in an important match is a good feeling. I won't lie, the selection thought was running in my mind.”
Delhi Capitals beat Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets as Rishabh Pant took the man of the match award for his heroic with the bat. Ajinkya Rahane hit his second IPL century but all that went in vain. This was sixth IPL 2019 ton after Sanju Samson, David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli did it earlier this season.
