IPL 2018, MI vs CSK: Lions roar in 1st match ; Mumbai Indians lost by 1 wicket

The first IPL match of the 11th season had a kick start at the Mumbai's Wankhede stadium. The first match was between the two best Mumbai Indians (MI) and MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who made a comeback after a long 2-years ban. The IPL side CSK won the match and chose to field, while Mumbai Indians took batting charge. The CSK beats MI in the first match of IPL 2018 by 1 wicket.

The home team Mumbai Indian set a target of 166 runs for Chennai Super Kings. Although CSK was not seen with a good comeback in bowling their Bravo stole the show. The MI lost its two crucial wickets in the start. MI's Jasprit Bumrah had a great start. He hit the good length area, cramped the batsmen for room and didn't give an inch to score. Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu had opened the innings for Chennai Super Kings. It was massive wicket for Mumbai Indians, Mayank Markande removes the danger man Ambati Rayudu for 22 runs, left CSK are in deep trouble.

The Mumbai Indians bowlers showcased their powerpack performance on the ground. Hardik Pandya and Mayank Markande took 3-3 wickets. While talking about Mumbai Indians batting power, Skipper Rohit Sharma managed to take only 15 runs with 1 four and 1 sixer. Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav played well in the first match.

Chennai Super Kings Dwayne Bravo changed the game by the hitting four sixes and giving no room to Mumbai Indians bowler Bumrah. Bravo gave a hopes to the CSK's fans and scored 68 out of 28 balls. The man of the match was non-other than Bravo.
