Afghanistan’s wicket-keeper batsman who is also known as their ‘MS Dhoni’ was recently ruled out of the World Cup following a knee injury. But Mohammad Shahzad has a different story to tell, according to him he is fully fit to play the tournament and Afghanistan Cricket Board didn’t talk to him before removing him.

Shahzad was seen crying in a video where he revealed the shocking facts about Afghanistan Cricket Board. A popular journalist Ibrahim Momand took to his official Twitter handle to share Shahzad’s story. “I have no problem or injury & fully fit but @ACBofficials pulled me out of the squad by force without any consultation”Says @MShahzad077 who is ruled out of @cricketworldcup due to a knee injury in his recent voice clip to a media in #Kabul as he is set to return home tomorrow,” the tweet read.

Shahzad is the highest run scorer for Afghanistan with 2,727 runs from 84 matches at an average of 33.66. He also has 14 half-centuries and four centuries to his name in 50-over cricket. Shahzad was not part of the 2015 World Cup that was held in Australia and New Zealand and his 2019 World Cup ended on a bad note. 18-year-old Ikram Ali Khil replaced Shahzad in Afghanistan’s World Cup squad.
