After winning over viewers with his performances in Go Goa Gone and Delhi Belly, Vir Das is gearing up for the release of his first content-driven film, 31 October. The film, which also stars Soha Ali Khan, is set to be a drama set in the time of the Emergency.
Vir Das will be seen on screen next in Ajay Devgn's Shivaay. In an interview with Catch, he said that he was positive Shivaay would be a visual delight for viewers.
"Nobody has ever been able to pull off something like Shivaay in India. The action at that scale is very difficult to shoot and I assure you that it will be a visual spectacle. What Ajay Devgn has done in Shivaay is historic."
When asked to describe his working relationship with Ajay Devgn, he said:
"Before a co-actor, he is director of the film. I know that he is expecting a certain kind of performance from me. My relation with Ajay Devgn in Shivaay was purely professional".
Elaborating on his role in the film, Vir said:
"When Ajay Devgn and his writers narrated the film to me, I walked out of the office with the confidence that 'I can and I have to do this role'. I am a Pakistani hacker in the film".
