Director Siddharth Anand who is all gear up for the release of his next film War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff says that he would have not made War if Tiger had not liked it. Despite having a Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, Siddharth feels that Tiger Shroff's yes is very needful for War.

War is the story of an India solider Khalid (Tiger Shroff) who is on a mission to hunt down his senior agent and mentor Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) as he has gone against his nation. Siddharth had worked with Hrithik Roshan in 2014 released superhit film Bang Bang! and he says that he was all clear in casting for two lead actors.

The first choice was Hrithik because we share a great equation. Post Bang Bang!, I've been writing something for him. Fortunately for me, he loved the script. I knew, if Hrithik is in the film, the protege can be no one else but Tiger," Siddharth told PTI.

"If Tiger hadn't done the film, it would be tough for me to make this film. I may have just scrapped the idea to rewrite something else. There is nobody who could replace Tiger in the film," he added.

War film

Noticeably, War is the first film of Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan coming together and it also marks Tiger Shroff's first film under Yash Raj Films. While Siddharth Aanand has returned to Yash Raj Films after 10 years, he last made Bachna Ae Haseeno for YRF. War also stars Vaani Kapoor in the leading role and the film is slated to release on 2nd October 2019 exactly 5 years after Bang Bang!.
