Takht: Good Newwz actor Kareena Kapoor Khan spill beans on her role in Karan Johar’s next
Kareena Kapoor Khan who is all set to woe her fans with her upcoming film Good Newwz starring Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. Apart from this, she will also be seen alongside Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha and Karan Johar’s multi starrer film Takht. Post the release of Good Newwz, Bebo will start shooting for Takht.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kareena spills the beans on her role and said that in the film she will portray the role of Jahanara in Takht. She further added that Jahanara Begum is a known name in Mughal history. The most important woman in the court and the main reason behind all the ruckus, “Us samay Shahjahan ne har decision Jahanara se puch kar liya tha. Jahanara was the elder and the favourite daughter of Shahjahan,” said Kareena, adding, “I am very excited to play that part.”
Meanwhile, she also added that by April the shooting for the film will start while the major portion of the sets is being constructed in Filmcity. All those who came in late then let us tell you that the film Takht is a historical drama narrating the story of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and his brother Dara Shikoh and their fight for the throne.
The film helmed by Karan Johar stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. In the film, Ranveer will portray the role of Dara Shikoh the elder son of Shahjahan and Vicky will be Aurangzeb.
Coming back to Kareena her upcoming film Good Newwz will hit the theatres on 27th December 2019.
