Student of The Year 2: Tiger Shroff hopes he doesn't let down the original star cast

With Student of The Year, Karan Johar introduced Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Sidharth Malhotra in Bollywood. Following the success of the film, Karan has decided to take the franchise forward with Tiger Shroff in lead.

In an interview during the promotions of A Flying Jatt, Tiger was asked to share his thoughts after bagging a film that would be produced by Karan Johar. Tiger replied:

"I consider myself lucky to be a part of Student of The Year 2. I am really happy that Karan Johar handed over the responsibility of taking the franchise forward to me and my attempt will be not let the original students, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra down."

On being asked to comment on the star cast of the much-anticipated film, the actor said,

"It is just me with two debutants. The film is currently being scripted and the producer will make the announcement at the right time."

Directed by Punit Malhotra, Student of The Year 2 will go on floors next year.
