Recently, Sonam Kapoor has changed her name on Twitter and Instagram to Zoya Singh Solanki and her fans are in shock as to why she changed her name. Many actresses change their name or surname after they get hitched, some add their husband’s surname, whereas, many totally change their name as per the family norms. But leaving all such reasons behind she has created a buzz by changing her name on social media accounts.
Sonam changed her name to Zoya Singh Solanki as that is the name of her character in an upcoming film titled The Zoya Factor. Yes, you heard it right she changed her name to promote her upcoming movie The Zoya Factor and her character in the film. There are many ways to promote an upcoming film. However, for The Zoya Factor, the makers opted for this innovative and out-of-the-box approach to familiarise Sonam’s character in the film. Sonam and the makers of the movie has created a new definition of promoting the film.
The Zoya Factor is a film in which Sonam will be seen playing the role of Zoya who is an advertising executive and ends up working with the Indian Cricket Team as they start considering her a lucky charm during the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Along with Sonam, Dulquer Salmaan will be seen in the film as Nikhil Khoda, a skipper of the Indian Cricket Team who doesn’t believe in superstitions. Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, the movie is based on the popular novel of the same name by Anuja Chauhan. The Zoya Factor is slated to release on April 5, 2019.
