After the Box Office hit that was Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Salman Khan and Sooraj Barjatya are set to collaborate on yet another family drama.

While earlier reports suggested that the project would be an action film, Barjatya set the record straight about the untitled project which is set to go on floors in October 2016. Speaking at Saturday's Zee Cine Awards ceremony, the director said:

"I have discussed an idea with Salman Khan and I am currently working on the script. It is definitely not an action film, so I don't know who started these rumours. I will be directing Salman in my next film."

Barjatya, who is known for films like Hum Aapke Hai Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hai and Vivah, also revealed that he does not plan to venture into other genres any time soon.

"I have always been interested to make family films because I think there are a lot of stories which are left to be said in a family drama. I am not just talking about joint families, but there are so many stories about nuclear families as well, so I would like to stick to the genre of making family dramas."

At the Zee Cine Awards, Salman Khan showered Barjatya - whom he calls his mentor - with praise.

"He's a brother to me. Whoever I am is all because of him. He gave me a great break with Maine Pyar Kiya and people started noticing me since then. Yes, there's a new film on cards because I am always ready to work with him. It's a lifelong contract".

Salman Khan is currently busy shooting for Sultan.
