After Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed a case against Rhea Chakraborty and her family, Rhea filed a petition in the Supreme Court of India on July 29 seeking the transfer of the investigation to the Mumbai police.
According to India Today reports, in her petition, Rhea accused Sushant’s relative of influencing the actor’s death investigation and blamed them behind the FIR filed by Bihar Police. Rhea further alleged that Sushant’s relatives also pressurized his friend Siddharth Pithani to speak against her.
The actress told that Siddharth also wrote an e-mail about the same to Mumbai Police. In the mail, Siddhart wrote that he received a conference phone call on July 22 from Sushant’s brother-in-law and senior IPS officer OP Singh and Sushant Sigh Rajput’s sister Meetu Singh, asking him details about Rhea and her expenses while she was staying with Sushant at Mount Blanc.
The e-mail further reads that Siddharth also got another phone call on July 27 from IPS officer Singh who asked him to give a statement against Rhea to Bihar Police. In the e-mail, Siddharth also mentioned that he was pressurized by the family to give a statement.
He further wrote that he had also received a WhatsApp call from an unknown number, which belongs to Nilotpal Mrinal, the same person who has been driving his BMW with Bihar Police and giving bytes to media channels, reported India Today.
