Sonam Kapoor's Neerja witnessed a solid growth in collections on the second day as it raked in around Rs 7.60 crore taking the two day total to Rs 12.30 crore.
The film jumped by around 70 percent on its second day which goes on to show the kind of word of mouth value the film is carrying. Neerja witnessed near 75 to 80 percent occupancy in the metro cities, and the film will witness a further jump of around 10 to 15 percent on Sunday. There was a gradual growth in collections at the mass centres as well.

The Ram Madhvani directorial is performing the best in Delhi, Chandigarh and Bangalore. As we see it, Mumbai should pick up today.
Day wise Box-Office collections:
- Day 1: Rs 4.70 crore
- Day 2: Rs 7.60 crore
- Total: Rs 12.30 crore
The film released on merely 700 screens across India and the collections are extraordinary to say the least. Neerja is sure to breach past the Rs 20 crore mark in its opening weekend, and is sure to record a steady trend at the Box-Office over the weekdays. It won't be surprising if the collections on Monday are similar to or more than the day one collections.

The movie is headed towards that cult 'super-hit' status as its performance in the overseas market is also pretty encouraging. On its opening day in UAE, the film performed better than major female centric films like Mary Kom, Jazbaa, NH 10, Mardaani did in the past.
