After the huge success of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali series, the whole film industry is trying to make films on India's biggest mythology Mahabharata because of its content and royalty. It is known that if any in future any film made on the same subject like the same grand scale of Baahubali then it will surely become one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema.

South film industry already has announced a film taking superstar Mohanlal in the leading role, now the Bollywood film industry is also trying their hand on this subject. Since a long time the discussions are going on that Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan is planning a trilogy on Mahabharata and he will spend his next 10 years on one of the biggest projects of Bollywood.

While he is in talks with many actors and filmmakers, now, on the other hand, one leading actress also has acquired the rights of Mahabharata. Actually according to the reports, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has acquired the rights of the novel Govinda - a modern tale of Mahabharata.

DNA has quoted Sonam Kapoor, "Both (Battle For Bittora and Govinda) can be made into films, and I’m going to do it."

This is to notice that Sonam Kapoor already has two others novels in her hand, she first bought the rights of Battle for Bitora and then The Zoya Factor. The battle for Bitora has postponed for no time because of leading actor's casting and also because currently, she is busy in another project Veere Di Wedding.

While The Zoya Factor will be made soon and Tere Bin Laden fame director Abhishek Sharma will direct the film. Currently, Sonam is busy in the promotions of her upcoming film Padman starring alongside Akshay Kumar.
