Box Office - Katti Batti struggles to put up decent figures on Saturday

Imran Khan-Kangana Ranaut starrer Katti Batti struggled to make decent collections on Saturday as it has made just Rs 5.48 crore.

The collections are surprisingly just a little higher than Fridays', which suggests that the film has failed to gain acceptance amongst its target audience. Earlier this month, films like Phantom, Welcome Back, and Hero had good collections on Saturday despite the mixed/negative word of mouth. The collections on Saturday proves that the audience response too is on the negative side.

Day-wise collections:

  • Friday: Rs 5.28 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 5.48 crore
  • Total: Rs 10.76 crore

Saturday's numbers suggest that the film will face a heavy drop over the weekdays, making it difficult for the film to put up a decent lifetime total. It has been a trend in Bollywood that the multiplexes pick up tremendously on day 2 for every film, while the single screens show a reasonable drop in collections. Drop in collections on Saturday is definitely alarming for an urban film like Katti Batti.
