To everyone's surprise, the film has managed to retain its hold at the mass centres on Monday, raking Rs 4.40 crore.

The collections prove that despite the negative reviews, and the apparent lack of a plot, the film has found acceptance among its target audience.

On Monday, Hate Story 3 fared better than Ranbir Kapoor - Deepika Padukone's Tamasha which witnessed a drop of over 60 percent which sealed the fate of the film at the box office.

Here's a look at the day-wise collections of the film:

  • Friday: Rs 9.72 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 8.05 crore
  • Sunday: Rs 9.05 crore
  • Monday: Rs 4.40 crore
  • Total: Rs 31.22 crore

Though the film was expected to perform a bit better on Sunday, the less the collections are good enough to get the film in the profit zone. The erotic genre and the hit music has helped the film put up a good total over the weekend. Having cleared the crucial Monday figures, the film is now looking to settle around at numbers close to Rs 50 crore in its lifetime run.
