Freaky Ali recorded an average start at the Box Office as the film raked in around Rs 2.55 crore on its opening day, 9 September.

The opening day numbers are higher than Nawazuddin Siddiqui's last outings, Manjhi: The Mountain Man (Rs 1.40 crore) and Raman Raghav (Rs 1.10) - thus becoming his highest opener yet.

The fate of the film will depend on the word of mouth - that will influence its trend from Saturday on.

The all-India distribution rights of the film were acquired by Vashu Bhagnani for Rs 11 crore. In order to break even, the film needs to rake in at least Rs 22 crore in its lifetime run. The critic reviews are mixed and the growth over the weekend will reflect the word of mouth.

From producers point of view, Sohail Khan has invested Rs 19 crore in the film out of which Rs 11 crore has already been recovered through the India distribution rights. The director-turned-producer will be looking to recover the balance from satellite and music rights.
