Farhan Akhtar clears air on Ranveer Singh replacing Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3!
In the recent past days, there were the reports that new age star Ranveer Singh is going to replace Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3. As soon the reports came out the king khan fans got disappointed and makers got trolled for casting Ranveer Singh. However, now the people who are connected with the franchise have just laughed on these reports.
According to Bollywood Hungama report, Farhan Akhtar who directed the franchise has denied saying anything on these false reports. But the report quoted a source close to Farhan saying, “Where did this come from? Ranveer Singh taking over Don? It sounds like an over-enthusiastic publicity gambit. No one except Shah Rukh Khan will do Don 3, if and when it happens. He is the face and brand ambassador of the franchise. Right now, Farhan doesn’t even have an idea for the plot in Don 3. People are jumping the gun in the hope that Farhan and Shah Rukh will react. Sorry, not happening.”
Let us tell you that Farhan Akhtar directed the remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don in 2006, in which Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra starred in the leading roles. After that, the director also made the sequel of the film in 2011. Both the films did amazing at the box office and turned out to be a hit.
Recently, after the debacle of Zero, there were the reports that Shah Rukh Khan may star in the third sequel of Don franchise. However, later the producer Riteish Sidhwani clearly announced that there is no planning to make Don 3 now as the script is not finalized yet.
