Eros International to remake Hero No. 1, Coolie No. 1 & Biwi No. 1. Will Varun Dhawan come on board?

As part of their strategic alliance with filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani's Puja Entertainment, Eros International is going to remake the three big 90s films --Hero No 1, Coolie No 1 andBiwi No 1.

Remaking the comedy series, more popularly known as the No. 1 series, is just one of the projects lined up to come out of the Eros International - Puja Entertainment partnership.

While the makers are planning new projects, the 1998 hit comedy, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, will also remade.

This joint venture is a result of Eros International Media Limited acquiring 50% of stake in the veteran producer, Vashu Bhagnani's film company -- Puja Entertainment & Films Ltd.

The deal has also given Eros an access to the company's vast film library that includes films like -- Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, F.A.L.T.U. and Welcome To Karachi among others.

Confirming the news, trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitters and posted:

Considering most of these films featured the commercial stars like Govinda and Salman Khan, the news of remaking these films brings a question mark on their casting.

And the very first name that comes to mind is Varun Dhawan.

The actor's mannerisms and quirky screen presence are the best suitable for the remake of films like Hero No. 1 and Coolie No. 1. Do you second that?
