Azhar had a fair opening day at the Box Office as the film raked in around Rs 6.30 crore on 13 May.

The Emraan Hashmi film opened with around 25 per cent occupancy in the morning shows but failed to show any reasonable growth towards the evening and night shows.

The performance at the metros like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata is not up to mark. However, the film got the support from the masses especially at centres like Gujarat, Rajasthan, CI (Central India) and Punjab.

Collection of the film at mass circuits is as follows:

Central India: Rs 28 lakh

Punjab: Rs 57 lakh

Rajasthan: Rs 36 lakh

For the film to put up a decent total on 14 May, it is necessary for the collections at the metros to grow since the mass centres are sure to drop by 10 to 15 per cent.

Azhar is now looking to breach the Rs 20 crore mark in its opening weekend and the hold on Monday would decide fate of the film.

The all India distribution rights have been sold for Rs 22-23 crore and the film would break even for the distributors at collections close to Rs 50 crore.
