After Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan to clash with Ranbir Kapoor on Christmas 2017?

Hours after director Rajkumar Hirani confirmed that his next directorial venture, Sanjay Dutt's biopic, will release on Christmas 2017, Eros International announced the release date of their upcoming film, directed by Aanand L Rai in the lucrative December holiday period as well.

While it is confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor wil play the lead in the Dutt biopic, speculations have been rife that Shah Rukh Khan will be the lead actor in Aanand L Rai's next film, where he will essay the character of a dwarf. Rai's film belongs to a genre which has not been explored much in Bollywood till date.

While promoting Dilwale, Shah Rukh Khan had confirmed that he is in talks with Aanand L Rai for a film; however he revealed that he is yet to officially sign the film.

The story till now:

In the past, Aanand L Rai has confessed that he was in talks with Salman Khan for his next directorial which revolves around the life of a dwarf. However Salman Khan was not too keen to be a part of the film. That's when Rai approached Shah Rukh Khan to play the challenging character. Known to experiment, SRK has been in advance talks with the director and has shared his creative inputs towards the script of the film.

Aanand L Rai's filmography consists of successful films like Tanu Weds Manu, Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

With two successful directors helming two of 2017's most anticipated films, we are ready to witness another clash of titans at the Box-Office.
