Coronavirus impact on IIFA Awards: From Katrina Kaif to Ranveer Singh, Bollywood star night gets postponed

Coronavirus is spreading in India at a very high speed and so far we have witnessed 31 cases positive across the nation. This virus has not just affected the health of the people but also the business recently in the entertainment world we saw Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan cancelling their events across the world.

Now a recent news is doing the rounds on all social media platform that Bollywood’s most prestigious award IIFA Awards 2020 has got postponed in Madhya Pradesh. The 3-day celebration that was supposed to kick-off from 27th March has been postponed after consulting the MP government. Taking to their Twitter handle they wrote, “With due regard to the growing concerns around the spread of the COVID-19 virus and keeping the health and safety of IIFA’s fans and the general community at large, after consulting the Madhya Pradesh government.”

Well, they have yet not announced the fresh dates and plans for hosting the IIFA Awards in Madhya Pradesh. Due to the outbreak of deadly virus even they are taking precautionary measures and are ensuring the safety of the citizens and legions of IIFA fans who travel across the globe to attend and experience the magic of IIFA.

Recently, actress Deepika Padukone cancelled a trip to France where she was supposed to attend the Paris Fashion Week due to coronavirus. Even Salman Khan cancelled his Radhe shooting that was scheduled in Thailand.
